Terms of Service

HoopZone is a basketball training app operated by HoopZone. These terms are an agreement between you and us. If you do not accept them, do not use HoopZone.

The privacy policy and the cookie policy are part of these terms.

You must be at least 13 to use HoopZone. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms with you.

• Give us details that are true, and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
• One account per person. Do not share it, sell it or hand it over.
• Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.

This is the most important thing on this page. HoopZone plans and tracks basketball training. Training carries a risk of injury, and only you can judge whether a session is right for your body on a given day.

HoopZone is not a doctor, a physiotherapist or a strength coach. Nothing in the app is medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury, a condition or any doubt at all. Stop if something hurts. You train at your own risk.

The coach is software. It reads your training numbers and writes suggestions from them. It is useful, and it is also capable of being confidently wrong: it can misread your data, suggest something that does not suit you, or state something inaccurate.

Treat it as a training partner with opinions, not as an authority. The same goes for the shot-mechanics analysis and the sneaker picks. Use your own judgement, and a real coach's where it matters.

HoopZone is free to train with. Hooper is the paid tier, billed monthly or annually, and it unlocks the AI coach, the heat map, custom routines, the activity calendar, shot analysis and the rest of the premium tools.

Who bills you

Apple's App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribed. We never handle your payment details, and we cannot charge or refund you directly.

Free trial

Seven days, once per store account and once per device. A payment method is required. If you do not cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription. Where a store does not offer the trial, the plan bills from day one and the app says so before you confirm.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.

Cancelling

From your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Hooper until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

Refunds are the store's to give, under its own policy. Write to us if something went wrong and we will help you sort it out with them.

Price changes

If we change the price we will tell you in advance, and the store will ask you to agree before charging the new one.

• Break the law with it, or use it to harm or harass anyone.
• Upload video of people who have not agreed to be in it.
• Try to get at other people's accounts or data.
• Take the app or the service apart, copy it, resell it or scrape it, beyond what the law allows you regardless of these terms.
• Attack the service — overload it, probe it, or get around its limits and protections.
• Fake your training data to game leaderboards, streaks or anything else we may add.
• Use the AI coach to try to extract its instructions, or to produce anything unrelated to your training.

We can suspend or close an account that does any of this.

Your training records, profile, photos and clips stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the features you use: to store your records, show them back to you, and process frames of a shot you submit so it can be analysed. Nothing more, and only for as long as your account exists.

The app, this website, the drills and routines we wrote, the name and the logo are ours. Using HoopZone does not transfer any of it to you.

We work to keep HoopZone running but we do not promise it will never be down, and features can change, move or go away. Anything we describe as in development — the live camera shot tracker, for one — has no promised delivery date, and a Hooper subscription is not a purchase of it.

You can stop whenever you like: delete your account in Settings, and cancel the subscription at your store. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop the service altogether, and if we do we will give you what notice we reasonably can.

HoopZone is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its metrics and coaching are accurate or suitable for you.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for injury arising from how you choose to train. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

None of this takes away consumer rights you have by law, which apply whatever these terms say.

These terms are governed by Spanish law, and disputes go to the courts of Spain. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed, and we will flag anything significant in the app. Continuing to use HoopZone means you accept the new version.
